“Hey Kelty, want to see this guitar I made?”
“Woah, holy shit. You should make jewellery”
It started with a dinner, and the knowledge that we are good with our hands. Sarah had been working for Kelty Pelechytik for years, and Timothy is a tradesperson, a real "good at everything he tries" kind of guy. When we realised that we could put something together, we found such excitement in bringing this brand to life.
We use the lost wax method of casting, an ancient method that dates from the third millennium. Found on nearly all continents, the method has hardly changed since. A labour intensive process requiring patience, attention to detail, and finesse.
As the people behind the products we are devotedly putting our all into the items we make. Designs inspired by personal experiences and memories, the people we meet, and the places we visit. Most pieces are hand carved with precision and care, using traditional tools and techniques. Texture, detail, and finish unique to each piece.
Once we complete the carving process, your piece is cast by pouring molten metal into a mold created from the wax carving. Refined and polished, we treat the metal to your desired finish, bringing out the natural shine and texture in the metal. Each piece undergoes a thorough quality control process before it is sent out.
We take pride in our handmade jewellery and hope that our pieces will become a cherished part of your story. A deep connection that runs though us, to the pieces you wear, and the stories they represent.
With the help of our good friend, we are so pleased to launch our first collection. Thank you for choosing to support our brand. By doing so you are contributing to our dream of a small sustainable family business.
